To all the candidates who are interested to write the upcoming WAEC examination, this timely article is going to help you to know how to buy and register for the 2023 WAEC examination
Below is how to register for the 2023 WAEC Examination for both internal and external candidates.
How to register as internal students.
Internal candidates are those students that are from the same school through which they want to register. Follow the below instructions on how to go about it.
1. Meet your principal or any top person who can issue the form to you.
2. After getting the form, fill in the subject space you want to write. The maximum subject allowed is 9 and the minimum is 8.
3. Return the form to the issuer with 4 passport photographs followed by the examination fee.
4. Please make sure you have either Google or Yahoo mail before you proceed with a thumbprint.
5. Thumbprint. Thumbs printing helps the WAEC board to recognize you as one who wants to participate in the examination that specific year. Your registrar will help you to sort it out. It either takes you to a computer cafe or brings in the person who will do the thumb printing for you. Better still you can decide to do it yourself.
How to Register as an external candidate.
Candidates who are from another school or those who are already done with secondary school but did not make it with their results and are ready to re-sit for another year are regarded as external candidates.
1. Please Follow steps one, two, and three given above for internal students. Be aware that your exam fee is different from theirs. Since you are from outside the school you will be required to pay more.
2. Check if your email address is still functioning, if not retrieve it or go for another.
3. Thumbprint: you will be asked to come for thumbprinting. Follow the above regarding who and where you will do your fingers print.
