If you participated in the previous JAMB examination whether in 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023 and you want to know how to check your result, you are in the right place to know how to do so. This article is also for candidates who want to reprint their results
Don't be nervous if this is your first time checking your JAMB result. I am going to break everything down for you. Hopefully, in less than 5 minutes you will be able to check your result.
In this article, l am going to show you different ways you can check your JAMB results. These include checking the results online or sending an SMS to the JAMB database to request your result. The two processes are explained below. Try to read through carefully to know the one that is best for you.
Requirements to check JAMB results online
Checking your JAMB results in online means that you are going to visit the official website. To check your result online, the candidate needs a smartphone that is capable of browsing the Internet with a strong internet connection. The candidate must also have his or her registration number.
Requirements to check JAMB results using SMS
Candidates who don't get access to a smartphone are required to send a text message to the JAMB database for them to be able to check their results.
If you want to use SMS to check your result, you must have at least #50 naira and above on the phone number and the number must be the one you used during your registration.
Now that you know the requirements to check your result, let me tell you how you can check it out.
How to check JAMB results online
Follow the following instructions to check your JAMB results online. Remember you need a smartphone and a strong internet connection
STEP 1. Visit the JAMB official website at www.jamb.gov.ng.

STEP 2. On the menu bar, click on the CAPs(candidates) E-facility as shown in the image below
STEP 3. Log in with your email and password.
Note: If you can not remember your password click on the forget password link to reset it.
Once you have successfully login to your account, your JAMB results will be displayed on the dashboard.
STEP 4. Click on the print result slip column on your dashboard. This will redirect you to the payment portal.
To print your result will require payment.
If you want to proceed to print it out, you will need to provide your debit card details. If you don't want to use your debit card, you will need to copy the generated ID. copy the ID and go to your preferred payment station to make the payment.
STEP 5. Once you have successfully made your payment, select your JAMB year and enter your registration number. See the following image for more information.
After this download, the PDF file on your computer and go to the nearest cafe to print the result slip.
How to check JAMB results via SMS.
Follow the instructions below to check your JAMB results through MS. Make sure you adhere to the format closely.
STEP 1. Open your message application(the messaging app is the one you used to send and receive messages on your mobile phone)
STEP 2. Type UTMERESULT as the message and send the message to either 55019 or 66019.
Note. The format must be in uppercase(capital) letters as you can see from step 2 above.
How to print JAMB result offline/via SMS
Since you can not print your slip with a mobile phone, you would have to go to the CBT or to the nearest cafe around you to do this for you. You need your registration number and your email address.
STEP 1. Go to the nearest cafe or CBT center and tell them you want to print the hard copy of your JAMB result. Provide them with all they required from you to print it.
Better still you can borrow a smartphone or any computer that can access the Internet from your friend or family member to do this.
This process will require you to log in or register a new candidate E-facility account on the JAMB portal.
STEP 2.
1. login or create a new account on the JAMB portal.
2. Once you have successfully created your account or logged in, locate and click the print results slip on the dashboard.
3. This approach will require you to make a payment. Select your preferred payment method and pay.
Once you click on make a payment, a transaction ID will be generated and sent to your email. Copy and keep it in case you want to use other payment methods other than your debit card.
After successful payment:

How much does it cost to print the JAMB result slip?
To print out your JAMB result slip, you will need to pay a non-refundable fee of 1000 (one thousand) naira.
When should I check my JAMB result after the examination?
You are required to check your result slip a few hours after you participated in the exam.
Can I check my result on the same day I write my exam?
Yes, you can check it out! The JAMB computers are built in a way that they can record and send your score to you the same day you write the examination. But sometimes, it takes longer than a day for the result to reflect on your account.
Do I need a scratch card to check my JAMB result?
No, you don't need it. All you need to do is to log in or send an SMS to the JAMB database to request your result.
How will I know if my JAMB result is out?
If your result is available it will be displayed on your JAMB e-facility dashboard immediately after you log in. And if you check it via SMS, you will receive a message like this, Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows ( followed by your score)
Why I am not receiving a response from JAMB after I send UTMERESULT to 55019/66019?
Sometimes you may not receive a response from them, this can result due to the heavy traffic that is going to their database. Because many candidates are checking their results at the same time you are trying to check your own, your SMS might be queued for a later response. You may need to wait for a little time to pass( it can be some hours, days, etc) to see if you will receive a response before you send another request.
Can I print my original result when my result is out?
The JAMB management will have to announce it before anyone can get access to their original result.
