UNIABUJA: Courses and Admission Requirements for 2022/2023

UNIABUJA courses and requirements


Are you a student looking for the courses or the requirements that are offered and accepted by the University of Abuja(UNIABUJA)? If you are looking for a way to get all the courses and their requirements that are offered by the University of Abuja, don't go anywhere. I  created this post because of people like you.

In this post, You are going to learn the requirements for both undergraduate and postgraduate. You are also going to see all the requirements for each of the fresh students and the direct entry as well.

UNIABUJA admission requirements for Undergraduate Studies

Applicants who are interested in the university must make sure they comply with the following information

1. UTME candidates must know that the university does not accept the second choice.

2. Candidates must score 200 marks or above in their UTME examination.

3. Must pass at least 5 subjects including mathematics and English language in their SSCE, NECO, or any other O' level examination they partake in. 

4. Three (3) of the credit passed by the students must be in subjects relevant to the degree course in which they for. 

5. For the direct entrance, UNIABUJA only accepts students who have an 'A' level in two of their prestigious fields of study and the certificate must be from, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, and Grade II.


UNIABUJA admission requirements for Postgraduate Studies

1. The University of Abuja accepts postgraduate programs that are Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor’s Degree (BSC). If you are a student who wants to apply for this program, you are required to obtain at least 5 credits in any of NECO, GCE, NABTEB, and Grade II.

2. Applicants who are going for Ph.D. programs must score an average of 60% or letter ‘B’ grade in the Master’s degree relevant to the field of study they are going for.

UNIABUJA admission requirements for Institute of Education (IOE) 

This program is specifically designed for teachers. To apply for this program as a 100-level student, you will need to have passed five (5)  relevant subjects relevant to your field of study including English Language and Mathematics at the ordinary level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, and Grade II). NCE graduates who want to apply as 200-level candidates must make sure to have two(2) 'A' distinctions. 

Note:  This program does  not require a UTME score
