I have gotten different queries from hundreds if not thousands of my readers concerning why they are not getting their WAEC results as other students are getting theirs. I heard of some people who have even checked multiple times but still yet the outcome remains the same. First of all, I want to tell those that are checking to wait for a little because when they continue checking, they might bypass the maximum times for each scratch card. I could remember some years ago how I waited for almost 2 months before I could see my WAEC result.

4 reasons behind waec results errors
Below are 4 reasons why you are unable to check your result and their helpful solution that has helped millions of students and which I also know could be of help to you.
1. Students misuse the private candidate's option instead of the school candidates
One of the errors students encounter when checking their WAEC result is due to the wrong option they select from the examination input. Most students sometimes forget to change the private candidate's results to school candidates' results.
Solution
Always make sure you select the appropriate WAEC examination you participated in. If you know that you sat for the May/June examination, you are urged to select the school candidates option otherwise omit the selection. Check the picture below on how to do so.
Make sure the blue radio button option is placed properly before you continue.
As you can see in the image above, the examination input is set to school candidates. The reason is that I want to check for the May/June examination session. But if you want to check for the October/November or January/February session you will need to set it to the private candidate's option.

2. Using incompatible browser
Another cause of some errors that occur when you try to check your results is because of the browser you are using. Students should know that not all browsers are compatible with the WAEC platform. So, we should avoid using those browsers that can hinder our results.
Solution
Consider using Google Chrome, Firefox, etc, to check your result online. Sometimes Opera Mini does cause this type of problem because some of its features do not correspond with the WAEC website. You can avoid using it for checking.
3. Traffic jam
You might likely get an error in your WAEC results due to a traffic jam. The reason behind this is that a lot of people are trying to check their own at the specific time you are also checking your own. So, when the workload is too high for the server to process at once it will cause errors in some other ones it can not process at that moment.
Solution
From my experience and what other experts have described, I will suggest that you wait a little bit for the rate of people checking their WAEC results to reduce. You can decide to wait for like 2 to 4 days or even 1 week before you check back.
4. Withheld result
WAEC results that are tagged as withheld are different from the three steps I explained above. Withheld results are not an error but are intentionally withed by the WAEC management.
