1. Open your Opera News application on your phone or visit hub.opera.com
2. Choose how you will like to log in. You can either use Google or Facebook authentication method to log in.
If you choose Google you will be prompted to choose one of your accounts to log in. If you choose to log in with Facebook you will be asked whether you will like to use your current account to log in or choose another.
Note: An account can only be used once. If you have already attempted to register and it was declined no that the account can not be used for a second time. This applies to all authenticated methods provided on the platform( Facebook or Google Account).
3. Once you have chosen your authentication method and selected the account you want to use, follow prompted steps to submit your basic information as shown in the following pictures.
4. Add your profile picture, write your username, and select the country you are residing. Once done click next.
Note: A phone number that has already been used before will not be accepted for the second time
6. You will be redirected to your dashboard as shown in the picture below.
Before you can be verified, you will be sent a verification email telling you that your account has been verified and you can start writing.

Here comes the most important part. To write your post, you will need to use the text editor section as shown in the picture below.
The text editor is very simple to use. Those of us that have used text editors before will be able to use the one presented here proficiently. Nevertheless, I will still explain to those that are not familiar with it.
How to use Opera News text editor to write a blog post
I am going to explain it from left to right.
H1 - The H1 which stands for Heading 1 is used to indicate the main title of a post.
H2 - The H2, which stands for Heading 2 usually used to indicate a subtopic/subtitle of a post
B - B stand for bold.
The folder icon after the B tag is used to input an image from your computer.
The next icon is used to add a link to your post.
The icon that resembles a computer video player is used to add video links to your post.
The remaining ones are used to undo or redo just as the work of Ctrl Y and Ctrl Z.
How to participate in trending topics

How long does it take Opera News editors to approve my newly created account?
Within 1 to 2 days intervals. Some accounts can be approved to start writing on the hub immediately after you submit your information while others will take longer. It depends on the present circumstance on the platform. Your account will be approved after which the Opera teams have reviewed your information to check if you have applied its terms and conditions.
How many posts can I write a day on Opera News Hub?
As a beginner, you are eligible to write only 2 - 3 articles per day for the first week. After which your articles are reviewed and found good for the platform, you will be eligible to write approximately 5 or more per day.
