The Chevening scholarship is for postgraduates (not for undergraduates) who have already completed their undergraduate courses

This Chevening scholarship scheme is for international who may like to study for one-year master’s degrees at UK universities but needs sponsorship. It is a fully funded scholarship with free flight tickets,  course fees, and accommodation

Do you see your country among the listed countries above? If your country is among them, you have a chance to apply for the scholarship, but if not, that means you can not apply.

More to the eligibility requirements mentioned beforehand, there are a couple of things interested candidates need to meet before they can be selected. 

Chevening scholarship requirements 

  • You must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry into a postgraduate course at any of the universities in the UK.
  • Interested candidates are required to have at least 2 years of work experience(this is equivalent to 6,360 hours). If you work per hour, you will need to calculate all the hours you have worked.
  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible Country * (check out the list of countries above)
  • And lastly, you will need to apply for 3 different courses and receive an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2023.

Document needed for the application 

The following are the generally required documents each candidate needs for the application

  • Education documents. (copies of your original certificates)
  • Two reference letters (who is a referee?)
  • Passport/national ID
Biometric data such as names, email addresses, passport photographs, and others will also be needed.

How to apply for the Chevening scholarship scheme 

Both the filling and submission of the application form are required to be done on the Chevening website.

Step 1: Visit the Chevening website at www.chevening.org

Step 2: Click the menu bar at the top right corner of the page.

Step 3: On the menu bar list, click on the apply link. (This will open a new page)

Step 4: On the apply page, scroll down and select your country(use the pagination to move to the next page, if in case your country is not listed on the first page)

Follow the prompt screen to complete your application
