How do I create a JAMB profile? what are the requirements to create it? Many students have asked several times how to create a JAMB profile. I guess that is what makes you here. I promise to show you the step to do it in this tutorial.
In this tutorial, I am going to show you the best two ways to create your profile. You don't have to be a computer genius before you can do this stuff with your smart or mobile phone. I will teach you how to use SMS or email address to create or update your profile.
The truth must be told. As a student who wants to write the Joint Admission and Matriculation (JAMB) examination, you must create a JAMB profile for yourself for your registration to be successful.
Profile creation is compulsory for everybody Without the JAMB profile, you won't be allowed to write the UTME examination whether JAMB or the Post - UTME.

What is a JAMB profile?
A JAMB profile is an individual account for telling the JAMB board that you are among the students that would be writing the JAMB examination in that designated year and exam diet.
What is a JAMB profile code?
The JAMB profile code is a set of 10 unique numbers sent to the students after they have created a profile account. The code can be sent to you either through email or the phone number associated with your account.
This is the code you are to submit during your registration
Students that use phone numbers to register for their profile will receive their code through SMS while the students that use email addresses will receive it through their mail inbox.
Students that use both emails and phone numbers will either receive it through email or SMS or receive it from both.
Requirements to create a JAMB profile.
Below are the basic things you need to have before you can start the creation of the profile.
1. A valid National Identification Number(NIN).
2. An active phone number that has not yet been used to register for the JAMB examination.
3. A token of N50 to 100 Naira airtime on your phone for those that want to SMS to create their profile and a good smartphone that can access the Internet smoothly for those that want to use an email address to create their own.
How to create a profile through SMS
1. Open a message application on your phone type NIN and enter your NIN numbers and send it to 55019 or 66019.Note: the message application is the one you used to receive SMS and your NIN numbers are the 11 digits on your NIN slip given to you.
Use this format: NIN 01234568890. Send it to 55019 or 66019.
2. Ensure that you have N50 and above on your phone before sending the message otherwise it won't work.
3. Once you have followed the above instructions correctly, you will receive a message. See the below attachment
"Your request has been received and is being processed, you will get a response shortly. The service will cost you N50"
4. Make sure that it is your number and it is registered with your name since it will be needed for the future verification of your E-pin.
5. within five minutes of your message you will receive a response from the JAMB Porter with a 10 digits number. Keep the number safe and don't display it to anyone even your parents as authorized by the board.
How to register your JAMB profile with an email address.
1. Visit www.jamb.gov.ng.
2. Click on the menu bar at the top right corner of the homepage of the website.
3. Find the create e-facility account/ login on the list of options on the menus.
4. Click on create a new account otherwise enter your email and password to log in. See the picture below
5. Fill in your detail correctly and choose your security questions.
6. Click verify your email address.
Instantly, you will receive a prompt message on the page like the one described in the below picture.
An email address containing a verification will be sent directly to your Gmail inbox.
7. Continue by clicking on the link in the email address sent to you.
8. Fill in your required details and click submit.
To view your jamb profile code, log in to the website with the password and email address you provided during your registration.
How to reset/retrieve your lost profile code through SMS and email
In case you lost or forget your JAMB profile code and want to get it through by sending an SMS to the JAMB board, follow the below procedure to retrieve it for ease.
Step 1. Open your message application and text RESEND to 55019 or 66019 with the same phone number you use during your registration.
Step 2: On your message app, text password space email address and send it to 55019 or 66019.
That is all you need to create or update your JAMB profile code either through SMS or email address.

Can I create a JAMB profile after registration?
You must create a JAMB profile account before your registration start. Profile creation after registration will be of no use because you will be asked to provide your profile code during your registration. Without your JAMB profile code, your registration will be void.
Where can I log in to create a profile code on the JAMB portal?
Before you can log in to create your JAMB profile, you must first create an account on the portal. After creating an account, go to the login page(you can find this by clicking on the candidate E-facility account at the menu bar on the JAMB website) and use the password you created during the time you were creating the account to log in
