Each candidate aims is to pass the waec examination with flying colors but not so easy when it comes to cracking the brain just to solve the questions you are not prepared for especially the one's Mark compulsory.
From time to time waec board always marked out some questions ranging from 1 to 3 compulsory which always could not be done away with it. Today I am going to discuss some past questions and where to study while you are preparing for the forthcoming examination.
The best way to beat examination failure comes from your preparation. The earlier you study the better it will be for you to pass with flying colors. There are many things involved but a few steps are required.

Waec: Mathematics hot topics that must repeat itself in 2022/2023 waec academy.
1. Graph. (Linear and quadratic graph)
Candidates must be able to draw both the straight and the curved line graphs and must be able to calculate each column and row for both the x-axis and the y-axis. A basic understanding of some measurements(millimeter & centimeter) is also required.
2. Statistics
Identification and interpretation of data in the frequency table must be known by the student. The aspirant should have a solid understanding of the bar chart, pie chart, and histogram formation for calculating data.
3. Probability.
You must be able to solve simple problems in addition and multiplication of probability which includes mutual and independent cases. Experimental cases of dice throwing and tossing dice are also necessary.
4. Indices, surd, and Logarithms
Establish the relationship between indices and logarithms in solving problems. You must be familiar with problem-solving in different bass of the logarithm, perform basic operations in surd, and can be able to simplify and rationalize surd. You are expected to know the law of indices, standard form, and the fundamental law guiding logarithm.
5. Geometry and Trigonometry.
Candidates must be able to calculate the cosine, sine tangent of the angle within 360° apply these special angles, e.g. 30º, 45º, 60º, 75º, 90º, 1050, 135º to solve easy problems in trigonometry. You are advised to know angel of depression, elevation, and bearing. Areas and solutions of the triangle,
graphs of sine & cosine, and sine and cosine formulae.
