The 2022 timetable for the Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) has been released by the National Examination Council(NECO) and is available for download.

JSS3 (BECE) Examination Date
The National Examination Council has said that the exam will start on Monday 9th of May 2022 and end on Monday, May 22nd, 2022.
How Many Days Does It Take To Write JSS3(BECE)?
According to the arrangement set by the National Examination Council(NECO), the examination is scheduled to take place for 7 days or 1 week. But these days will not be followed sequentially. One who wrote one of his papers on a certain day could be jumped by some days before he/her can write another one.
Is Calculator Allowed In JSS3(BECE) exam?
Yes. Candidates who are to sit for the BECE are allowed to use a calculator. But programmable calculators are not allowed.
Mobile phones, iPad, tablets, and smart wristwatches, are not also allowed. If you are found with any of the above electronic devices, you will be charged with examination malpractice which can cause the cancelation of your result.
BECE Grades
The grading system for the BECE examination level ranges from Distinction (AA+) to Fail (F).
BECE Score For Each Grade
Distinction: This grade is the highest of all the grades set by the BECE board. Its marks are 100 - 71(Grade AA+)
Credits: Any student that got credit in his/her examination is good to go. The marks are 70 - 61(Grade A).
Pass: This grade can still qualify any candidate who got them. It is calculated from 60 - 51(Grade P).
Fail. The word already defined itself. The Mark starts from 49 - 0.
How To Pass JSS3 (BECE) examination
To pass the JSS3(BECE) examination candidates are to sit for a minimum of 10 subjects and he/she has passed in six subjects including mathematics and English.
