2023/2024 WAEC (GCE) second series registration date
The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) management has announced that July 13th, 2022 to be the registration starting date for the 2023/2024 WASSCE private
candidate second series and the registration will end on Sunday 14 August
2022. But the generation of a PIN stops on August 12, 2022
The window is open for anyone who wants to enroll for the examination that
will soon commence. Early registration is always recommended by the WAEC board and
will also make you escape the unnecessary payment for late enrollment.
How much is WAEC's (GCE) second series registration for 2023/2024?
N 18, 000. Students who are interested to sit for the upcoming WAEC
(GCE) examination, the second series are required to pay a non-refundable fee
of eighteen thousand (18, 000) naira. This payment will be made during your
registration.
Requirements to register for (GCE) second series
1. A valid phone number and email address.
2. Postal address and other contact information.
3. 2.0-megapixel passport.
4. Biodata (this includes your full name, state of origin, date of birth, etc.).
5. Examination subjects ( both minimum and maximum is 9 )
You can register for your examination either online or in a cyber cafe. Follow the below procedure carefully.
How to register for WAEC (GCE) in a bank or cyber cafe
To register for the examination in any of the WAEC accredited a bank or cybercafés:
1. walk into any nearest WAEC office, cybercafe, or bank.
2. Tell them you want to register for the 2022/2023 GCE second series examination.
3. Buy the WAEC registration pin.
4. Fill out the form that will be issued to you and pay and pay your fee.
5. Print out your photo card
How to register for WAEC (GCE) second series online
1. Visit the WAEC registration portal at
registration.waecdirect.org/Register/start
2. Fill in your username, password, and your registration
pin then click continue to proceed with your
registration.
3. Upload your passport capture using the webcam. You are required to
take a picture with a webcam with a minimum Camera Specification* 2.0MP 720p
USB 2.0 Color, 2.0 megapixel.
Note: You must have a waec registration pin to enable you to
continue otherwise you will not be allowed to log in. Your username must be
unique. This means that only you can have a username that has not yet been
used by other students for their registration.
Once you have successfully login, your registration form will automatically be
displayed on the page. You can print out the form or fill it out on the
platform.
4. Enter your contact information.
Make sure you enter the exact state and city you are currently staying in
because the location you enter will determine the place you will be sent to
write your examination.
Note: The area marked 'Telephone' input must be filled with a valid
phone number. It is compulsory because that is where you will be contacted
when the need arises.
5. Select subjects for your examination. You are required to select a minimum
and maximum of 9 (nine) subjects only.
Note: Mathematics and the English language have already been selected for you.
You only have to select the remaining 7 (seven) subjects to complete the
number of subjects that are required for the examination.

If your details are correctly supplied as intended on the form, scroll down to
read the declaration and check all the boxes that are provided in each
declaration.
6. Lastly, print out your photo card. Make sure you print this card out
because without it you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Late enrollment (walk-in-candidates)
According to the WAEC head, Mr. Patrick Areghan, candidates who wish to enroll for the examination after the closing date will be regarded as walk-in candidates and he/she must pay a non-refundable fee of thirty thousand (N30, 000) naira only.
