How To Avoid Failure, Malpractice, and Withheld Result In WAEC Examination

how to avoid failure, examination malpractice, withheld in WAEC examination

Research shows that tens of thousands who wrote the WAEC examination fail every year. Not because they are dull. Almost 80 percent of these students are brilliant the remaining 20 percent are averagely smart or lack interest or excitement.

You may have known or heard about someone who you know to be very smart in learning who fails the WAEC examination.

This might give rise to thoughts in your mind about whether or not the person who fails the examination knows what he/she does.

To be frank, not everyone who failed the WAEC examination is dull. Most of these students might have mistakenly done what the WAEC management rule forbids.

What are the things you must not do in the WAEC? How can students avoid them?

Follow me patiently to see some reasons why students fail their WAEC examination.

1. Using 2 booklet or shading 2 options spaces

The major issue that always makes the management of WAEC withhold candidate results is the way students use their answer booklet.

One of the instructions that are always repeated on answer booklets every year is that students should not shade more than one option or use more than one booklet per exam.

Some people have been fond of this type of writing especially when they see that some answer options look identical. These types of people might have the thought of getting one out of the options they pick.

Other people are also fond of taking another booklet to replace the one given to them by the supervisor. This type of action is extremely wrong and not welcome by WAEC management. When you are found doing this, you will be disqualified or have a fail on your result.

Never try to mark or shade more than one option when you are writing your WAEC examination.

You should always remember that each of the examination papers for people in the class you are writing is already counted before they are brought.

2. Insulting or assaulting any examination official

Never try to insult or assault any of the examination officials sent to examine your class whether the WAEC supervisor or the invigilator.

Some of these people are very strict and can cause you to fail your exam.

You should never in any way insult them whether through speech or any other form that can be insulting. Always obey what they ask you to do.

I could remember how I failed my agricultural science WAEC examination because of what my coursemate did when we were writing.

It is always said EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER. Let me brief you about what happened so that you can learn from it and avoid such mistakes. I'm going to shorten the experience.

It all happened on our last examination day. On this day, we were writing an agricultural science exam. One of the guys that were writing with us insulted the supervisor. We all failed the conducted examination by the supervisor just because of the insult from one person. The guy who insulted him failed woefully when the result was released, he got F9 on all his papers.

We should always be careful when dealing with any WAEC official sent to school.

3. Swapping of scripts in an examination hall

Swapping of question papers, and answer booklets are not allowed by WAEC to be done in the examination hall. Never try to exchange any script with another person whether you are writing the main examination or you are participating in any of the practicals.

4. Cutting of answer booklet

You might wonder how this is necessary. Yes, WAEC strictly prohibits candidates from cutting the answer booklets given to them. They believe that some students can use it to copy answers from someone or other forms of malpractice. Never try to cut your paper even the edge. When one of your scripts is caught up, it can be canceled. So you need to avoid it.

Apart from cutting your note, also make sure you don't write on the margin.

5. Bad Writing

Brilliance is not only what makes one pass the WAEC examination, but good and neat handwriting will also work.

Brilliant students can fail the WAEC examination if he/she has a bad way of writing.

Most of the people marking WAEC scripts don't have time to be straining their eyes to see what you write. They mostly focus on your writing.

So, you ought to learn how to write neatly. It will help you.

6. A good preparation

Preparation is the key to every successful student. WAEC examination is one of the toughest exams you can ever think one.
