The management of the university of Port Harcourt (uniport) has approved and released the academic calendar for the 2020/2021 session and the 2021/2022 session for the full-time program.
Aspirants who apply for the uniport full-time course are invited to resume school as soon as possible because the school's normal activities are going to begin as noted on the academic calendar.
If you are a student who was among the ones that were admitted during the 2022/2021 or the 2021/2022 session, you are to take note of the new standard calendar that is approved by the school management. Both the first-semester and the second-semester test dates, examination dates, as well as all the holidays are included on the calendar. Below are the scheduled dates for all the activities that are going to take place.
First-semester resumption and examination dates for 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 session
Resumption date for level 1 B students: The management of the university of Port Harcourt (uniport) has announced Sunday, 16th October 2022 as the resumption date for all year one B students. They urge all the students involved to make sure that they arrive on the specified date because revision will be conducted for all those that are present on the week that follows
Revision week: According to the school management, a 1-week revision will be conducted for the level 1 student. The revision will start on Monday 17th, 2022, and ends on Friday, October 21st, 2022. The purpose of this revision is to prepare the student who was away because of the ASUU strike to be ready for the first-semester examination that will follow.
First-semester examination: The school's first-semester examination will commence on Monday, October 24th, 2022 - Saturday, October 29th, 2022. The examination is going to last for 1 week (6days).
Extra-Ordinary Meeting of Senate: As their custom, the university senators will meet on Wednesday, October 30th to consider the result of students that participated in the examination.
Second-semester resumption and examination dates for 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 session
The uniport's second semester will run from Monday 31st of October to Thursday, 22nd December 2022. The semester will cover 8 weeks approximately 2 months interval. All the uniport students are to resume for the second semester. The schools request that all the students who enroll for the full-time course try as possible to resume a day before this day because the school normal class will begin on the 31st of October, 2022. Below is the breakdown of how the second semester is scheduled.
Lecture start date: Monday, 31st October 2022. All the lectures will begin on this date. Whether you are a 100L student or higher, as long as your course is full-time you are expected to come to class.
Deadline for payment of Second Instalment Charges: You are required to complete your payment before the end of Friday, 2nd of December 2022.
End of Registration for Second Instalment Payment: Friday, 9th December 2022.
Continuous Assessment Submission: The uniport management has scheduled Friday, 16th, December to be the date that all the uniport students will need to submit their designated assessment.
The second-semester lectures will close on Thursday, 22nd December 2022 followed by the Christmas and the new year holiday break which will run from 23rd of December to Monday 2nd of January.
Revision: The second-semester revision will start from Tuesday, the 3rd to Saturday 7th of January 2023.
SUG Week: Monday, 16th - Saturday, 28th January 2023 (2 weeks)
Examination date: The second-semester examination will commence on Monday, 16th of January 2023, and will end on Saturday, 28th of January 2023. finally,
