Subject Combination For Public Administration

To study public administration courses at any of the higher institutions whether, in the universities, polytechnics, college of education, etc, the candidate must make sure he/she enrolls in the required subjects both in the O'level( WAEC, NECO, NAPTEB, or any other recognized results) and the JAMB examinations(  both of the JAMB UTME and the JAMB Direct Entry). The following are the subjects you need to enroll in.

Take note of the ones in bold letters, they are the compulsory ones. As you can see from the above list, you will notice that English Language, Economics, and Government are written in bold letters. So these three subjects are all compulsory and must be included when you are choosing the subject you want to enroll in.

WAEC/NECO subject combination for public administration 

To write the WAEC examination, you need to choose nine(maximum), or at least eight(minimum) subjects that you will write. Since both the WAEC and the NECO examinations are almost the same things, the same subjects are required to study public administration courses at any of the universities.

UTME subject combination

You need four(4) subjects to write your JAMB exam. Those who want to write the JAMB-UTME examination must make sure they choose the following subjects during the registration.

  • Government
  • And any other 2 subjects.

Direct Entry subject combination

Two(2) 'A' level passes chosen either from Economics, Government, Accounting, Business Management, Geography, and Statistics.
