WAEC/JAMB Subject combination For Accounting (2023/2024)

Waec subject combination for accounting 

In the WAEC economics examination, 3 subjects are compulsory to write. These subjects are mathematics, English language, and civic education. These subjects can not be omitted, they are the first ones you need to choose when selecting subjects for the accounting course while preparing to write the WAEC examination. Below is the subject combination that is recommended by the West African Examination Council to write.

Combination of one(1)

1. English

2. Mathematics

3. Civic Education

4. Accounting

5. Literature in English

6. Government

7. Biology

8. Computer Science

9. Economics

Combination of two(2)

1. Mathematics.

 2. English.

3. Economics.

4. Government.

5. Geography.

6. Biology

7. Agriculture.

 8. Commerce.

As you can see from the first and second combinations, you will notice that there is a little difference between them. The first one has 9 subjects while the second contains only 8. It is a student's choice to choose the number of subjects he/she wants to write about as long as he/she can meet up with the grade that is required to pass WAEC.

You can as well use the above sample to form your own. Please, ensure that you put all the mandatory ones. 

As I mentioned before, the first four (4) of the above list are highly approved by both waec and jamb, and even 95% of the universities in Nigeria also accept it. 

Another thing you should avoid is getting D7, E8, or F9 on these subjects. Once you get one of these grades on any of the compulsory subjects you will likely not gain admission to any of the institute

JAMB subject combination for accounting

To sit for the UTME examination you must have 5 passes in your O' level examination. The subject you must pass in Mathematics, English language, economics, and any other social science subject. Once you have these passes in these subjects you will be good to proceed with the JAMB and other UTME examinations like post-UTME. 

The following are the required JAMB subject combination for accounting.

3. The use of English,

4. And any other social science subject you want to add to it
