Gaining admission into a University without writing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is one of the coolest ways that I have seen that have helped so many students who could not gain admission because of a low JAMB score or the frustration they have encountered because of waiting for JAMB to give them admission. Do you believe it is possible to gain admission into the University of your choice without JAMB? Yes, it is 100 percent possible even if you did not participate in the jamb at all. But how? Don't worry, this post will help you to know how to do so.

Did you score low marks in JAMB? Or you did not write JAMB at all? Is your admission denied because you did not meet up with the requirements of your dream school? Does JAMB fail to give or approve your access? Whatever the case may be you don't have to be worried because there is an alternative for you. You can still enter your dream school despite the situation you have previously faced that prevents you from gaining admission.

I know you are partially happy because you have heard that it is possible to gain admission without JAMB. Yes, that's how it is supposed to be for anyone else who might have faced the same as you because it is never easy to stay at home for another year to come before you can enroll again which may likely cost you another money.
But now you are also curious about how this is possible. Right? Be calm, don't be too nervous about this. I will show you 4 means you could do it and it is available across the nation. Below are the methods that can fasten your education without you waiting for JAMB admission or wasting your time at home.
four ways to gain admission into Nigeria universities with low JAMB scores or without JAMB
1. JUPEB.
2. Part-time at the polytechnic.
3. IJAMB.
4. Direct entry admission.

Oh... But how does it work? How do I go about this? which of these four ways is best? Below are the explanations for each of the four I listed above. Stay calm to be able to follow up.
1. JUPEB
What is JUPEB? As the name says, JUPEB is a national examination board set up by the federal government of Nigeria to conduct examinations for students who want to gain admission into universities without first writing the JAMB examination. It takes exactly one year to earn the JUPEB certificate.
1. Since you have already earned a one-year degree, you don't have to start from 100 levels the time you want to start at any university of choice but automatically jumped to level 200 level.
2. You will have full access to gain admission to your favorite university as long as you beat the UTME requirements of that school.
3. It helps you adapt to the more educational system and also facilitates your brain in terms of learning.
Disadvantage of JUPEB
1. you must first need to participate in the JAMB examination before you can be admitted to your chosen school.
2. You just need to meet up to the standard of the school you applied for on your JUPEB and UTME requirements otherwise you won't be able to enter the school unless you take up another JAMB form
2. Part-time Study
Gain admission into the university through part-time study at the polytechnic.
This is another cool way to gain admission into universities without JAMB. In this case, the student will have to earn a recognized degree in the polytechnic of any standard college of education to be able to switch to the university. You can decide on a 2-year certificate program - ND (National Diploma) or the four-year certificate program - (Higher National Diploma) and later complete it at the university of your choice.
Advantages of Part-time Study
1. You can have access to study in a polytechnic with just your O'level result and later switch it to university through the UTME examination ( if at all you want to).
2. You can decide to just run only the HND (Higher National Diploma) program and you will still have access to NYSC certification.
Disadvantages of Part-time Study
1. You must write your JAMB examination to gain admission to the 200 level in the university or to allow to do the JAMB inauguration for those that want to do their NYSC program.
2. You are not 100 percent sure to gain admission to the university of your choice unless you attain the required result and the UTME requirements for the course you want to study.
3. IJAMB
IJAMB stands for (Interim Joint Matriculation Board). It is a one-year duration program that helps students to gain admission to the 200 level without resulting in writing the JAMB examination. You only need to need your O'level results like WAEC, NECO, IGCSE or NABTEB to get started with the program. It is available to students nationwide. The IJAMB certificate is recognized across all the universities in Nigeria. You can use the certificate to go to any institution of your choice and still earn a degree without you the JAMB examination.
Advantages of the IJAMB certificate
1. You only need an O'level result to acquire the certificate and then go to the university of your choice without the JAMB examination.
2. You have the privilege to escape the 100 level at the University. With the IJAMB certificate, you don't have to start fresh but you are automatically promoted to the 200 level.
Disadvantages of the IJAMB certificate
1. You will not be able to go to the NYSC program with just the IJAMB certificate unless you do the JAMB inauguration.
4. Direct Entry Admission
Direct entry admission is just like the part-time program. It is for those that already have a diploma certificate like the ND(National Diploma) and the HND(Higher National Diploma) who wishes to continue their program at the University. Direct entry admission is good for the student who did not do well in or was not admitted by JAMB.
Which of these four is best to choose from?
Well, I can't tell you which is the best among them. I can only suggest to you but not choose for you. Because everyone has different tastes in what they like and don't. You are the one that will decide for yourself the one that will favor you.
In summary, the JUPEB course runs for 1 year and has two semesters and it helps students who were not admitted to be able to start their 200-level program at the university after which they have rewritten the JAMB examination.
The IJAMB also runs for one year. With IJAMB you don't have to write the JAMB examination at all. But will be affected if you want to do your NYSC program unless you do your JAMB inauguration that is when you will be able to.
With the part-time and direct entry diploma, you will be required to study at the polytechnic for two years and then switch to the 200 or 300 level.
You have it your way. Choose wisely.
